Get On Yer Bike Discovering Cornwall’s rich mining heritage just got a little more exhilarating with the opening of four new cycle trails which closely follow the tramway and railway routes which were vital in Cornwall’s tin mining heyday. You’ll find yourself whizzing past former mines and through scenic countryside, and with the majority of the trails being off-road, the discovery couldn’t be safer. Pack a picnic to enjoy en-route or stop off at one of the hidden country pubs to replace all those burnt off calories. The new trails are part of the Mineral Tramways cycle network which runs through Cornwall’s central mining district. Mineral Tramways is connected to a series of six other inter-connecting cycle trails which cover the county stretching from Land’s End to Bude.
